So Tuesday I had 500 words, Wednesday 1000 and now, Thursday evening I am at 2000. As I am nearing my aim of word count (2500-3000) and most of my text is down in terms of quotes, opinion and facts I decided to PRINT. Now I know this is totally un-green of me but I find a paper copy at this stage really helpful:
You can read it differently, more effectively, as your eyes are probably square from staring at the computer screen
You can WRITE ON IT which is great for tracking themes and flow or argument
YOU CAN WRITE ON IT and see where you need to add link sentences or add more evidence
And importantly you can get out a favourite coloured pen and get scrawling.
This is why my husband calls me Pauline (a bit colloquial for a blog so start here).

It is so true, you cannot loose the text you create that way! Although I wouldn’t swap my computer completely if I am honest.: )
